A rare waterfall that drops directly into the Pacific Ocean
Alamere Falls
Point Reyes National Seashore
California
I can find mention of only 2 waterfalls in California that drop directly into the Pacific Ocean. I'll leave the other name to your research.
This was a relatively difficult shot for a few reasons.
1. Hiking 7.5 miles with camera gear and tripod
2. Setting up camera and tripod right on the edge of a 40 foot cliff
3. Shooting into the sun
4. Using TWO neutral Density filters made focusing difficult
5. Finding just the right exposure to capture the soft view of the waterfall while leaving the ocean waves somewhat sharp. I was somewhat lucky on this account. This is NOT a composite picture.
